Band Uniforms

ALL BAND STUDENTS must purchase a band polo shirt from the Band Boosters.

All Beginning Band & Concert Band students wear the Band Polo Shirt.  All students need to provide the following: ALL BLACK DRESS SHOES, BLACK SOCKS, and standard NON-FADING DRESS BLACK PANTS (can be purchased at Target, Wal Mart, or any local department store).

All Symphonic Band students need a white tuxedo shirt and a bow tie.  A concert vest will be issued to each student.  Each student is responsible for vest upkeep.  A fee may be charged if the vest is found to be damaged because of student neglect.

PLEASE NOTE:  This is the first year in several years that their has been a Concert Band and Symphonic Band.  There are presently not enough formal concert uniforms for all of our GLMS Concert and Symphonic Band students.  The Director is working with the GLMS PTSA to find ways to raise money for all new concert uniforms for the entire Concert and Symphonic Band members.  YOUR HELP IS GREATLY NEEDED.   PLEASE BECOME INVOLVED WITH THE GLMS PTSA.  See the GLMS school web site for more info.

The Band Director or his designee has the right to inspect uniform appearance before a performance.   If a uniform is found to be unacceptable, the student will not be allowed to participate in the performance, activity, and/or field trip.  It is very important that, as ambassadors for Greenwood Lakes Middle School, we represent ourselves with the highest standards, quality, and pride.
