GRADING POLICY

Band students are graded using A, B, C, D, or F format. Band Students will receive a grade based upon:

·         Class participation:  25%

·         Performance on playing tests and/or pass offs, and/or assigned music  (Concert Band and Advanced Band follow a 9 weeks syllabus): 25%

·         Weekly Practice Record: 25%

·         Written Assessment and Bonus point activities (i.e. extra credit): 25%

·         Attendance at after school rehearsals and performances; scheduled on an as-need basis with advanced notification;  limited mainly, but not exclusively, to the months of February through April in preparation for M.P.A. (Symphonic and Jazz Band only; see After School Rehearsals and Performances for complete info): 10%
